Replace or Refurbish your Box Sash Sliding Windows

Using traditional methods in conjunction with modern technology you can greatly improve the efficiency and lifespan of your windows. You can eliminate draughts and rattling. You can also double glaze. This makes your existing weights redundant because of the additional amount of glass. So you replace the weights with spiral spring tensioners. These tensioners are located on the sides of the sashes where your existing sash cords are. They are simple to detach from the sash, which allows you to take them out for access or painting etc.

Sometimes, depending on the thickness of your existing sashes, you can install a double glazed unit. Sometimes you can also make new sashes to take double glazing, provided the box they slide in is sufficiently wide enough to allow it. If you have any questions about your particular window I will be happy to advise you, just call or e-mail – tom.carter@ic24.net.

I can, of course, replace exactly what you already have.

There are a number of options regarding timbers, glass and ornamentation, existing mouldings can be reproduced plus paint, security and preservatives etc. In the event that you would like me to look at your windows (I am not a salesman!)

I could give you a clear indication of what can be done or not. If we proceed I will give you an estimate, which will be the total cost of the job. No further contact will be made unless, of course, you wish me to proceed.
